About

Hi there, I am Luona Wang! I am a staff member of the Archives Center of Urumqi High-tech Zone (Xinjiang, China). Before that, I completed my master's degree in Information Science at the School of Economics and Management of Southwest University of Science and Technology. I'm looking for a PhD opportunity.

My research interests include Social Media, Artificial Intelligence and Data Analysis. Specifically, I'm interested in using large-scale data sets to study social issues.

During my master's degree, I published 3 papers. Using quantitative analysis and empirical research, I studied the influence ranking and evaluation of academic journals and academic books on social networks. I mastered some mathematical models and algorithms, as well as the use of some data analysis software.

I participated in Professor Huang Xing's research project on multi-disaster risk assessment and collaborative governance mechanism of disaster prevention and reduction in China's coastal urban agglomeration, as well as the research project on support network and collaborative optimization strategy of emergency materials collection in emergency time. By using mathematical models and data analysis, I studied disaster risk assessment and how to manage disaster in China's coastal cities.

I also participated in the epidemic prevention and control work in the High-tech Zone. During the epidemic period, I worked as a staff member at the medical quarantine observation point, and was awarded the honor of "Anti-epidemic Pioneer". I am very glad that I can contribute my own strength.

You can see my paintings here.
